Reba M. Holliday (nee Rains), 77, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 27, 2017. She was born April 18, 1940 in Akron, Ohio to Martin and Edna Rains. Reba graduated from Smith Grade School, Kenmore High School Class of 1958 and went on to attend Akron University. She began her working career with Firestone Bank, until having her first child, Mark. Reba was a loving homemaker and mother who always gave of herself to others.
After her children where grown she went on to work for Thomarios Painting Company and later retired from the Tudor House in Norton. She was a member of Grace Church-Norton Campus for more than 30 years, where she was a part of the church choir, and had a special love for the Messenger Sunday School Class.
Reba was preceded in death by her brother, Randy Rains.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Dana; sons, Mark of Norton and John of Azusa, CA; brother, Sid (Cindy) Rains; sister, Sandy (Jim) Thornton; sister-in-law, Ellen Rains; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. She is also survived by many dear friends and church family.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to James Brown, MD, Mehool Patel, MD, and Gary Williams, MD, for the compassionate care that allowed Reba to survive Pancreatic Cancer for an additional three years.
