Ronald Andrew Reed, 60, of Kirksville passed away Sunday, July 30, 2017 at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

Ronald was born October 5, 1956 to Harvey Reed and Clara Bell Norfolk (Eastman) in Kirksville, Missouri. Besides his parents, two of his sisters, Jessie McCoy and Janet Weekly, precede him in death.

Ronald is survived by his children: Jeremy Reed of New Bloomfield, Mo, Angel Reed, Brandon Reed, Dakota Reed, Shawn Reed, LaTisha Reed, Samantha Grgurich, Jenny Fish, Ashley Smith, Sara Reed, Mark Reed, Tyler Compton, and Jerod Reed all of Kirksville, Mo, Jasmine Inhat of Newark, Mo, Melissa Sherrill of Kahoka, Mo, and Emily Reed of Clinton, IA; his brothers: Harvey “Butch” Reed, Jerry Reed, Danny Reed, Jimmy Dallas Reed; his sisters: Judy Ballinger, Donna Magruder, Sandra Lyons and Sally Weekly all of Kirksville, Mo; thirty-eight grandchildren: Stormy, Cash, Colby, Angelique, Autumn, Gage, Braxton, Justin, Dominick, Kambria, Colton, Abreigh, Alexander, Travis, Ayden, Havon, Adalyn, Maverick, Micheal, DaMarco, Gabrielle, Gavin, Kaelei, Kirsten, Hank, Andi, Dallas, Keaton, Lathon, Gracelyn, Carson, Caydence, Jayce, Jayden, Jordan, Joshlynn, Sebastian, Marley; and his good friend Gary Short, along with several nieces and nephews.

Ron was the youngest boy of eleven children. He grew up in rural Kirksville MO and attended Hungry Hollow school. After getting married to Mary Ann Bartlett and starting his family, Ron opened his heart and home to include numerous foster children, making them a part of his family, and ended up adopting thirteen of them. Ron always had a welcoming smile and loving heart for his kids, grandkids, family, and close friends, spending as much time with them as he could. He enjoyed taking road trips and gambling at the casinos. He loved nothing more than visiting and laughing with his friends and family.

Ron’s wishes were for cremation and family celebration of life. Memorials suggested to the family and can be sent to 614 N Main St, Kirksville MO 63501.
