Don Kelly, 78, of Kelly Road, Carlsbad, New Mexico, passed away July 30, 2017 at his home.
Visitation will be 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM, Thursday, August 3, 2017 at Denton-Wood Funeral Home.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, August 4, 2017, 2:00 PM, at Otis Baptist Church with Pastor Dick Means officiating.
Interment will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, New Mexico.

Don Kelly was born April 2, 1939 in Carlsbad, NM to Prent and Euline (Tidwell) Kelly. He grew up in the Otis Store during his childhood which his mother owned almost 50 years. Don graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1957. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard. Don married Katherine Crabree Thanksgiving Day of 1965. He and Kathy owned and operated Carlsbad Floral for many years. Don also enjoyed farming and ranching, particularly taking care of his cows. He loved the time spent at their cabin in Cloudcroft. Don was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors are his wife, Kathy Kelly of Carlsbad, NM; son, Sterling Kelly of Midland, Texas; granddaughter, Skyler Calicoat of Carlsbad, NM; sister, Mary Helen Cox of Carlsbad, NM; nieces, Jolene Biggs; nephew, Roger Cox; niece, Rhonda Hutchens; nephew, Kelly Cox; sister-in-law, Bobbie Morefield and husband, Danny.
Pallbearers are Kelly Cox, Dave Faulk, Rodger Cox, Marty Petska, James Walterscheid, and Kelly Reid.
