Butch graduated from Marion High School in 1961, then served in the Army from 1961-1964. He worked at Dana for 33 years as a machine operator. Butch was a member of Jalapa Chapel, and found his joy in quietly serving God by helping others without drawing attention to himself. He enjoyed fishing, bike riding with his wife, doing yard work, gardening, and mowing yards for senior citizens. Second only to God, he treasured his family. He leaves behind a Christ centered legacy, living out his faith in God with integrity, prayer, and selfless love for others. He was a loving father to his daughters and proud grandfather to his 6 grandchildren: Savanna, Adrienne, Noah, Jonah, Eli and Abigail; and 1 great grandson Drew. He will also be remembered dearly by many extended family and friends.
In celebration of his life, a memorial service will be held on Friday, August 4th at 2:00 pm at the ArmesHunt Funeral Home in Marion, IN. Friends may call from 12:00 to 2:00 pm prior to the service
