Austin Carroll Jacobs is my 2 times great grandfather and was the first born child to my 3 times great grandparents Samuel Austin Jacobs and Deborah Bedford.

Austin Carroll married my 2 times great grandmother Martha Levinia Williams on Sep 15, 1834 in Wilson Co, Tennessee per Tennessee, State Marriages, 1780-2002.

They had 8 children.
Robert, Candic Jane "Candie", William Franklin, Frances "Fannie", Victoria, Samuel, Austin Carroll Jr, my great grandfather George Washington.

Austin enlisted in the Mexican-American war June 6 1846.

The Mexican-American War began April 25, 1846 and ended February 3, 1848

He was a Private in the First Mounted Infantry of Tennessee and served in Columbia.
