He was a former partner and president of Merchant's Grocery, Wholesale Food Distributors, Harrisburg, and later associated with Central Pennsylvania AAA Motor Club and Travel Agency in membership and insurance sales; was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, New Cumberland and past president of its Men's Bible Class; a member and past master at West Shore Lodge 681, F&AM, Camp Hill, Harrisburg Consistory, Zembo Temple Shrine Club and its Luncheon Club and Past Presidents Club, all of Harrisburg, New Cumberland Retired Men's Club and Perry County Historical Society; past president of Cumberland County Shrine Club and charter member of Hershey Shrine Club.
He was the widower of Adaline Shettle Adair. Surviving are a son, Larry R. of Auburn, Calif.; a sister, Wilma Diller of Shiremanstown; and two grandsons.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in his church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
Visitation will follow the service in the church. Parthemore Funeral Home, New Cumberland, is handling arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to Shrine Children's Hospital, c/o Zembo Temple, 2801 N. 3rd. St., Harrisburg 17110, or to his church at 421 Bridge St., New Cumberland 17070.
