Honea Path – James Troy Bagwell, 83, husband of Betty Louise Bolt Bagwell, of 9 Pine St., died Saturday, February 6, 2016.
Born in Greenwood County, he was a son of the late Fate Bagwell and Lula Quarles. He was a member of Chiquola Baptist Church and retired from Milliken. He was a diehard Clemson Tiger Fan.
Surviving in addition to his loving wife of 61 years of the home are: three sons, Roy (Bev) Bagwell, Dale (Valerie) Bagwell, and Kenneth (Debbie) Bagwell, his daughter, Sandra Parnell, ( Charles, deceased), a sister, Mary Wheeler, eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and his devoted, much loved companion and pet, Betty Lou. He was predeceased by two brothers, his twin, John Roy Bagwell and Henry Bagwell, a sister, Melindy Good, and special son-in-law, Charles Parnell.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Chiquola Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Powell, Rev. Brad Haynes, and Rev. Dr. Jerry White officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories.
The family is at the home and will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Pruitt Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Chiquola Baptist Church Building Fund, 405 E.
