LANETT --- Mrs. Carrie Lou Tolbert, 84, of Lanett died Friday, June 7, 1996 at her residence.

Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, June 12 at 1 p.m. at Goodsell United Methodist Church with the Rev. J. C. Huguley officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Tolbert is survived by her godson, the Rev. J. C. Huguley of Lanett; her brother, Gabriel Fears of Chicago, Ill; her niece Mur Ree Tolbert of Lanett; two sisters-in-law, Pearlee Tolbert and Margorie Tolbert, both of Lanett and two nephews, Jerome Tolbert and Bennie Tolbert Jr., both of New York.

Born June 30, 1911, in chambers county, Mrs. Tolbert was a member of Goodsell United Methodist Church. She served as a member of the Wesleyan Services Guild, UNIF leader for the church, president of the Usher Board, Board of Trustees First Woman, ,Sunday School secretary and treasurer and on the committee on education. Mrs. Tolbert was a member of Shavers Pride No 8530, Order of the Eastern Star.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7 until 8 p.m. at Morgan's Funeral Home Chapel in Lanett.
