Donna Lee Larsen, the daughter of Leo Edmund and Esther Dorothy (Becking) Larsen, was born February 1, 1948, and passed from this earthly life on July 30, 2017, at the Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic, Iowa at the age of 69 years, 5 months, and 29 days.

Donna was educated in Atlantic and Exira, Iowa graduating from the Exira High School in 1966. A son was born in September 1966 from a union with her first husband. Donna worked in the healthcare field for many years. As an adult she obtained an Associate of Arts Degree in Human Services from I.W.C.C.

In 1993 she met her soulmate William Larsen from Omaha, Nebraska. They shared a joyous tumultuous life for over two decades being wholly committed to one another in good times and trying times.

Donna was an animal lover. She loved her pets dearly. Donna’s favorite pass time was enjoying her time on the porch wearing only her socks. She enjoyed westerns from her youth such as Have Gun, Will Travel, Rawhide and others. She was a proud liberty loving gun carrying patriot.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents and other relatives.

Survivors include her husband William “Bill” Larsen of rural Atlantic, Iowa, her son Kevin R. Christensen of Brayton, Iowa, her sister Lana Darling of Atlantic, Iowa; her sisters-in-law Liz Venuti of Boca Raton, Florida and Pat Moore of Elk Horn, Iowa; her beloved cousins of North Richland Hills, Texas, Kemp, Texas and Dallas, Texas; and many nieces, nephews, adopted family and friends.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be conducted by Pastor Grant Van Lishout on Friday, August 11, 2017, at 2:00 P.M. at the Kessler Funeral Home in Exira, Iowa. Inurment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery west of Brayton, Iowa The honorary casket bearers will be Duane Barnholdt, Dale Killen, Bob Nymand, Tim Nichols, Dave Larsen, Susie Pomeroy and Carol Kropf.
