James L. "Bud" Lewis, 91, of Quitman, passed away on July 30, 2017 at his residence.
He was born on February 2, 1926 to Henry and Dora (Satcher) Lewis in Wayne County, MS.
Bud is survived by his sons, James Glenn (Mamie) Lewis and Curtis D. (Cristal) Lewis, Sr.; 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and special friend, June Goldman.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lucy Lewis; daughter, Mary Delois Fleming; grandchild, Curtis Nathaniel Nause; and parents, Henry A. and Dora L. Lewis.
Visitation will be held Monday, July 31, 2017, 5:00 pm at Wright's Funeral Home, Quitman, Mississippi.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 1, 2017, 11:00 am at the Rolling Creek Baptist Church, with Rev. Billy Brumfield and Rev. Ronnie Cooper officiating. The body will be at the church one hour prior to the service for visitation. Burial will take place in the Rolling Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be James Glenn Lewis, Jr., Cliff Lewis, Curtis D. Lewis, Jr., Stephen Clay, Aron Keith, and Josh Bates.
