Mr. Gary Bland, 64, of Metter died on July 31, 2017 at his residence under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Julia Mae Chapman Bland, siblings, David Bland and Infant Bland.He loved fishing, raising animals, being outdoors, spending time with family and friends and his two dogs, Smoky and Amanda.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Mabelene Mock Bland of Metter. Brother, Jonny Bland of Metter. Step children. A memorial service was held on Wednesday Aug 3, 2017 at 5pm in the chapel of Wood Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Beasley officiating. The family received friends from 4pm. until the hour of the service.
