Lola Mae Davis, 86, longtime resident of Peoria passed away at 2:38 pm on the 30th of July in the year of our Lord Two-Thousand and Seventeen at her residence.

She was born April 2, 1931 to Henry Murray and Nellie Estella Smith Tuttle in Port Angeles, Washington. She was a fourth-generation descendant of Chief Seattle of the Duwamish Tribe in Seattle. She married Amos Davis on May 12, 1967.

Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband of 50 years; daughters, Judy (Jimmy) East of Wetumpka, Alabama, Sandra (Jim) Salvo of Reeds Spring, Missouri, and Nancy Anderson of Peoria; sons, Jimmie (Lori) Lynn of Jacksonville Florida, Jeffrey (Anna) Lynn of Avon, Indiana, Joseph (Traun) Lynn of Columbia, South Carolina, Cecil Jay (Teresa) Lynn of Panama City, Florida; twenty-six grandchildren, thirty-nine great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, N. Juanita Bratlie and Alice Henry; and one brother, Murray Tuttle.

Mrs. Davis held various positions in her lifetime retiring as Manager of Air-Way Vacuum Cleaners Peoria Distributing Co.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She cared deeply for each of her loved ones and prayed for them daily. Her heart’s desire was to meet each one of them in Heaven for that grand reunion. Meet Me There.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, August 4, 2017 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. Joshua Lynn will officiate. Family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery.
