Paul D. “Tiny” Thomason, 55, of Fairfield, died Friday, July 28, 2017 at Fairfield Memorial Hospital. He had been a local carpenter for many years. He attended Howard Community Chapel in Opdyke, IL and King’s Chapel Church in Fairfield. He was an avid guitar player and played every Thursday at Larry Hobbs and Co with other local musicians.
Survivors include his wife, Nola (Manring) Thomason, two daughters Paula (Loren, Jr.) Hester and Rachel Thomason both of Fairfield, four brothers Larry (Judy) Thomason and Harry (Linda Lou) Thomason both of Fairfield, Carroll (Viola) Thomason of Sims, IL, and Garry (Brenda) Thomason of Mt. Vernon, IL, four sisters Alice Herzog of Fairbury, IL, Diane (Dale) Laird of Minooka, IL, Ella Mae “Betty” (Gene) Owens and Velma Manring both of Sims, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Ruby (Atkinson) Thomason, one sister, Brenda Trotter and two brothers Eugene and Roger Thomason.
