MADISON/OREGON — Harold W. Olson, age 78, passed away at his home on Monday, December 3, 1979, after a long illness. He was born in Windom, Minnesota, September 22, 1901. He was a longtime resident of Madison and Oregon, having moved here in 1923. Harold was well-known in the trucking and mechanical field here, having been employed by Reynolds Transfer and Storage, A.J. Sweet Company and the W.T.W. Transportation Company. He was a member of Luther Memorial Church. He is survived by his wife, Clara; a son, Harold E. (Gene) Olson and his wife, June of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; two grandchildren, Steven and Sandra, both of Madison; two brothers, Johnny of Hollywood, California and Richard of Monona, a sister, Ella Wick of Rapid City, South Dakota; and other nieces, nephews, and a host of longtime friends. Funeral services will be held at the GUNDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 6. Rev. J. Stephen Bremer will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.
