She was born April 30, 1934, in Millerstown, Juniata County, a daughter of the late Frank S. and Emma Mae (Baum) Shirk. She was married to the late Robert Lee Adams.
Faye was a 1952 graduate of Freeburg High School.
She retired after 23 years of service from Prudential Insurance Company, Harrisburg.
She was a member of St. John United Methodist Church, McAlisterville and the Richfield Ambulance and Fire Company.
Faye enjoyed bird watching, viewing television, and was an avid reader.
She is survived by two sisters, Lanna M. Cox, of Coatesville, her twin, Ferne I. Troxell, of Lewisburg; one brother, Herbert F. Shirk, of Richfield; nieces and nephews, Jack Cox and wife Mena, Cindy Starr, Tim Troxell and wife Eunice, Linda Troutman and husband Dean, Faith Sidler, Donald Shirk, Victor Shirk and wife Tina, Judy Shirk, June Loncar and husband Steve, and Steve Shirk and wife Julia; and great-nieces and nephews.
Faye was preceded in death by two brothers, Marlin and Palmer Shirk; and one sister, Pauline Starr.
Friends and family are invited to the graveside service at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Richfield Union Cemetery, Richfield, with the Rev. Candace Arnold officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in loving memory of Faye to St. John United Methodist Church, c/o Lisa Ard, Treasurer, 1222 Fairview Road, McAlisterville, PA 17049.
