Daughter of Jacob F Miller and his wife, Anna Marie Spielman, Edna Miller was born in September of 1889 in Warren, Macomb Co., Michigan. Edna Miller, never married and served most of her adult life as housekeeper for Gerald F. Connolly, a member of the clergy of the Catholic Church. Wherever he was transferred she moved also. When she passed she left everything to the Catholic Church which amounted to more than $30,000 but yet they buried her in an unmarked grave and no family was notified of her passing. Monsignor Jerome Schmit was the executor of her estate. She was buried at Calvary Cemetery in an unmarked grave: Section 43, Lot 225, Grave 10. I guess the executor did not consider a grave marker a funeral expense. Her will directed her "funeral expenses be paid from her estate".
