Dean Hunt (Garldean) returned home to his Heavenly Father, Tuesday, July 12, 2005 in Salt Lake City after a long and courageous fight with Parkinson's Disease.

Dean was born on October 27, 1924 in Enterprise, Utah to Jefferson George and Louisa Carolina Hunt. He was the tenth of ten children.

He was married to his sweetheart, Yonia May Sorensen, on September 3, 1946 and later sealed to her in the Salt Lake Temple on September 4, 1956. They were sweethearts for many years and shared many choice experiences together.

Dean proudly served in the Air Force during World War II. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where he held many positions. He was an owner and manager of Bradshaw Auto Parts for 35 years and served actively in his community.

He is survived by his wife, Yonia; his children, Allen Hunt (Diane); Steven Hunt (Joyce); Sharon Gleed (Ron); Bonnie Erickson (Steven); and Jerry Hunt (Kristen); as well as 21 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the Tooele 14th Ward, 192 West Second South, on Monday, July 18, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. Friends and family may call on Sunday evening at the Tate Mortuary, 110 S. Main Street in Tooele, from 6-8 p.m. and at the Tooele 14th Ward on Monday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Interment at the Tooele City Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Utah and Brighton Gardens for all the kindness shown to our husband and father.
