Obituary for Craig Lou Hirschi
Rockville – Craig Hirschi passed away on Thursday July 20, 2017. He was born in 1941 in the same house he died in 76 years and 1 month later.

He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam conflict and really loved England and Germany and Austria where he was stationed. He was a history major and loved the world even though he hardly traveled after the war. No one could beat him at Trivia Pursuit in the history or geography categories.

Craig lived in Rockville most of his life, known by most everyone in Rockville and Springdale. He was as much a fixture as the red cinder street; the little light bulb hanging across main pretending to be a street light; or skull rock. He actually outlasted 2 of those.

He is survived by his sister Evelyn Merrill and his children Amy and Michael along with 4 grandchildren: Rand, Matthew, Alia, and Ryker.

There will be an open viewing followed by a graveside service and luncheon on Wednesday July 26th at the town hall in Rockville at 10.30 am. Military honors will be provided by the Hurricane American Legion.

Thank you to all the wonderful people who have checked on him and supported him and us during these last few years while his health has declined. God bless you all!
