Kevin Wayne Day was born May 27, 1964 to John and Lola Mae Davis Day in Galveston, Texas

He attended to Galveston public schools and was graduate of Ball High School. He also attended Galveston College as a young man. He really enjoyed helping others and was always willing to give a helping hand, which led him to his late employment with the Moody Methodist Church–Moody Menders Outreach Program. A program that helped rebuild, repair and provide necessary maintenance services to the elderly and those in most need. He got a great joy out working with them.

His parents, John and Lola; his sister, Sheryl Faye Day; his nieces, Andrea Williams and Tanzy Day; and nephew, Darryl Florence preceded Kevin in death.

Left to cherish memories is his son, Prince D. Day; daughters, Kelvina Day and Appllonia Day; five grandchildren; brothers, John Reginald Day, Gregory Day and Evorn Day; sisters, Patricia Guarine, Lisa Day and Sandra Day George; devoted cousin, Charles Day; and a host nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

There will be a gathering of family and friends for a visitation from 1:00 PM-3:00 PM on Tuesday, August 1, 2017, at Fields-Johnson Family Mortuary.

He is survived by his 3 children, 5 grandchildren, 3 brothers, and 3 sisters; and a host of nieces, nephews cousins, other relatives and friends.
