Rachel was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Eugene M. Moore, Sr.; her sisters, Elsie, Alma, Kathryn, and Marion; and, her brothers, Arthur, John and Russell. She is survived by her only son, Eugene M. Moore, Jr., and his wife, Sue; her brother, Kenneth Rhode, and his wife, Kay; granddaughter, Marsha Kemp, and her husband, Kenneth; grandson, Mark Moore, and his wife, Beth; and three great grandchildren, Morgan Kemp, Austin Kemp, and MJ Moore. She also leaves many nieces and nephew as well as great nieces and nephews.
In 1987, Rachel retired from Milsan Mills where she worked for 47 years as a seamstress. She was also a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Jonestown, PA. She was an avid bowler for many years at both the Indiantown Gap Lanes and Cedar Lanes in Lebanon. She even traveled as far as Arizona to compete. She enjoyed time with her family, often traveling to see out of state relatives with her husband. More recently she enjoyed her great grandchildren, getting to see her oldest one graduate this spring and her youngest one learn to walk.
Friends and family in the Dover area may visit Trader Funeral Home at 6:00 PM with a service at 7:00 on Thursday, September 1. Interment with a graveside service will be held on Friday, September 2 at 1:00 at Grandview Cemetery in Annville, PA for family and friends in the Lickdale area.
