Oct. 7, 2010 at George H. Lanier Memorial Hospital in Valley.
Funeral services are planned for Wednesday, Oct. 13 at 2 p.m. CDT at Friendship Baptist Church #1 in LaFayette with the Rev. Ed Vines officiating. Burial will follow at Handy Cemetery in LaFayette.
The remains will lie in state at the church one hour before the service.
Mr. Bell is survived by his two sons, Gregory and Jemarcus Giddens of LaGrange; two brothers, Willie James Bell of LaFayette and Willie Bell Jr. of LaGrange; three sisters, Bertha L. Bell, Katherine E. Bell and Mary Zachery Dawson, all of LaFayette; two aunts, Ella Mae Linson and Willie Mae Hodnett, both of LaFayette; one sister-in-law, Frances Boston of LaFayette; two grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Vines Funeral Home of LaFayette is handling arrangements.
