Barry Grant Hodges, 61, of Roanoke, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family on December 20, 2014.

Barry retired from GE after 41 years of service and left behind a lot of special friends. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved spending time at the San Antone Hunt Club.

Barry was preceded in death by his father, Douglas G. Hodges; and best friends, Steve Parker and Wayne Goodpasture. He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Donna Sue LaBrie Hodges; daughter, Brooke Nicole Hodges.

Also surviving Barry is his mother and step father, Joanne Y. Gibson and Alvin; his favorite sister, Karen Southworth Payne of New Castle; brother, Donnie Gibson (Amanda) of Moneta; nieces, Megan Garst (Brian) of Elliston, Christi Southworth of New Castle; and nephew, Graham Gibson of Moneta. Other surviving relatives include his brothers-in-law, Ricky LaBrie (Sandra), Mike LaBrie, Billy LaBrie (Tammy), Ronnie LaBrie (Annette); and sisters-in-law, Mary Jane Cregger (Bob), Judy Sutliff (Jimmy); and by multiple nieces and nephews. Barry also leaves behind a number of good friends, Danny Switzer, Dennis Whitt, and Robert (Bunkey) Garrett.

A special thank you goes to Sue and Emmett Lawrence and good friend, Steve Kelly, for all their help during Barry�s illness, his special caretaker, Dawn Lee and the folks from Amedisys Hospice who took excellent care of Barry.
