Jean Meredith Britt, age 70, died on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at her home, after a courageous battle with brain cancer.
Born December 26, 1946, she graduated from Bryan College in Dayton TN with a degree in secondary education and served the Lord faithfully as a pastor's wife, school and piano teacher, singer, and musician in eight churches across five states.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of forty-seven years, Reverend Dr. William E. Britt; brother Francis O. Blount Jr; sister Margaret Ledford (Ray); sister Phebe Novic (David); daughter Teresa L. Soistmann (Bill); daughter Joanna Clayton; and son Jonathan Britt; daughter-in-law Jeanna Britt; and five grandchildren, Billy and Becky Soistmann, Kylee and Noah Britt, and Scarlett Clayton.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 3 2017, at Todds Lane Bible Church, with burial to follow in Peninsula Memorial Park.
