Jamie had a deep love of music, dancing, art, and fashion. She was an avid lover of Marilyn Monroe, the beach, traveling, and nature (Mom's not-so-little tree hugger). Jamie had a heart for people and animals; was trusting, empathetic, and kind. Jamie battled cancer since 2015, with a brief period of remission; through it all, she always had a smile. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Jamie is survived by her son, Esteban "Steven" Hernandez Jr.; and grandson, Steven Hernandez; mother, Peggy (Mike) Childress; sisters, Rachael Gilmore, Miranda Weems, Angela and Sarah Patrick; nephews, Hunter Kiekintveld and Devon McAllister; grandmother, Sandra Johnson; grandfather, Robert McAllister; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Jamie was proceeded in death by her Great Grandmother, Lucille Weaver; father, Leslie 'David' Patrick; Nephew, Harley Kiekintveld, and Best Friend, Ryan "Country" Mulder.
The Family will hold a Celebration of Life Saturday, August 12th at 4 p.m. at Gibson Christian Reformed Church, 6486 140th Ave., Holland, MI 49423. Gathering to follow the service at Jamie's Aunt Cindy's house at 672 Beechwood St. Holland.
