After graduation, she attended St. Paul’s School of Nursing in Dallas, graduating with her R. N. license in 1952. She then worked as a registered nurse at Wichita Falls Clinic until her marriage to Louis Morath on October 24, 1964. Later on, Carolyn chose to be a stay at home wife and mother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis Joseph and Lillian Margaret (Graner) Lerner; her husband, Louis Morath; two sisters, Frances Harwell and Anne Kusnerik; and her brother, Jim Lerner.

She is survived by her son, Ray Morath and wife Cynthia of Herndon, Virginia; her daughters, Carol Morath and Laura Morath both of Wichita Falls; two grandchildren, Owen and Claire; her brother, John Lerner; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the employees at Rolling Meadows, the Gables, and Hospice of Wichita Falls. A special thank you to the CNA’s, nurses and therapists who cared for her and worked with her at the Gables.
