Stephen A. Brady, 30, of Kirtland, passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2017, in Las Vegas, Nev. He was born April 4, 1987, in Farmington to Scott and Fayth Brady. He is Tl'aashchi'I (Red Cheeks People) born for Todich'ii'nii (Bitterwater). Steve was a well-traveled man who lived in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Syracuse, N.Y. and Orlando. He attended Kirtland schools and graduated at Kirtland Central High School with the class of 2005. He continued his education at a technical school, in Las Vegas, where he graduated. As an interior decorator, he flourished in his company-Projects by Steve. He was a very creative person doing beadwork, painting wall art, carpentry, landscaping, and tending to animals and pets. All his hobbies were well proven in his 4-H years as he grew up. Steve's greetings to his sisters, aunts, grandmas, were his token hugs and kisses. He cherished and loved little ones, especially his four nephews. Stephen was preceded in death by his grandparents, Russell and Lydia Bradley (Bisti). He is survived by his parents, Scott and Fayth Brady; brother, Brian Brady (Kim); sister, Leigh Ann Nicholson (Scott); grandparents, Allen and Fannie Brady; nephews, Scott Alan, Lincoln Tyler, Ethan Dee, and Benjamin Allen. A rosary will be at 6 p.m. Monday, July 31 at Cope Memorial Chapel of Kirtland, 458 Road 6100 with Deacon Joe Diddy officiating. A Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1, at the San Juan Catholic Center, 11 Road 6446 in Kirtland, with Father Patrick Wedeking officiating. Burial will follow at the Kirtland-Fruitland Cemetery in Kirtland. Immediately after, a reception will be at the San Juan Catholic Center. Pallbearers are Brian Brady, Kevin Martinez, Josh Brady, Marvis Fraizer, Eric Bradley and Mikeal Smiley. Stephen's care is entrusted to Cope Memorial Chapel of Kirtland, 458 Road 6100, 505-598-9636.
