Nancy Zeiger Sparks, 86, of Marianna, Arkansas passed away Thursday, December 27, 2018. She was born Monday, May 30, 1932 to Fred B. Zeiger Sr., and Velva Chambers Zeiger.
She is survived by two sons, Oswald ”Rusty” Sparks (Jackie Nelson), of Little Rock, Arkansas; Jimmy Sparks (Stacie) of Marianna, Arkansas; one daughter, Cindy Sparks, of Hot Springs, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Lauren Sparks, of N. Little Rock, Arkansas; Dierdre Griffith (John), of Omaha, Arkansas; Sam Ridge (Lynnsy), of Fayetteville, Arkansas; Austin Sparks (Jerri) of Jonesboro, Arkansas; Clint Sparks (Taylor),of Marianna, Arkansas; and eight great-grandchildren, Brennan Frank, Ayden Frank, Cameron Frank, Connor Ridge, Sloane Ridge, Wyatt Griffith, Kallie Sparks and Waylon Sparks, one brother, Ted Zeiger (JoAnn), of Russellville, Arkansas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Oswald Sparks, one sister, Dottie Zeiger Carter, and one brother James E. Zeiger.
Ms. Sparks loved to read and to write letters. She adored her grandchildren. She also enjoyed watching fox news and gardening. She was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church of Marianna and a member of Chapter AW PEO.
Honorary pallbearers will be Sam Ridge, John Griffith, Austin Sparks and Clint Sparks.
In Lieu of flowers the family request memorials to be made to UMY (United Methodist Youth) at P.O. Box 1064 Marianna, Arkansas, 72360.
Services for Ms. Sparks will be held Monday, December 31, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in Marianna, Arkansas with Brother Glenn Hicks officiating. Family and friends may view and sign online guestbook at www.rollerfuneralhomes.com/Marianna
