Funeral services for Jo Ella Anding Morgan will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, July 30, 2017 in the Church of Christ of Turkey Creek with Brother Jamie Roberts officiating.
Committal service will follow in the Griffin Hill Cemetery of Lone Pine under the direction of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Jo Ella, 78, of Turkey Creek, entered her Savior’s arms on Thursday, July 27, 2017, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law in Spring, Texas. She was born April 11, 1939 in Oakdale to the union of Luther Edward Anding and Loyce (Droddy) Anding. In 1958, she graduated from Oakdale High School.
Jo Ella was a Christian and a member of the Church of Christ in Lecompte. On June 20, 1968, Jo Ella married Hollis Charles Morgan. Before retiring, she worked for Evangeline Granite Works in Ville Platte. She was a loving wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, Morris Willis and Hollis Charles Morgan; and her father, Luther Anding.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are: one son, Richard Morgan and wife Dawn of Bayou Chicot; one daughter, Jo Lynette Johnson and husband Garland of Spring, Texas; her mother, Loyce Anding of Oakdale; six grandchildren, Jake Johnson, Zachary Johnson, Justin King, Dyllan Morgan, Payton Morgan, and Scarlett Briley; four great grandchildren, Jackson Johnson, Luckett Briley, Blaison King, and Bella King; four sisters, Linda Sue Matte of Lake Charles, Patsy Istre of Sulfur, Vicky Smith of Houston, Texas, and Julia Kay Shell of Beaumont, Texas; and a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers to serve will be Payton Morgan, Dyllan Morgan, Seth Briley, Zachary Johnson, Jason Shell, Mark Istre, Colton Chaddrick, and Christopher Laizure.
Visitation will be held at the Church of Christ of Turkey Creek, Saturday, July 29, 2017 from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m., then on Sunday, July 30, 2017 from 12 noon until time of service at 2 p.m. in the church.
