Melanie Kimara Smith entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Ochsner Medical Center Westbank at the age of 49. She was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA.
Melanie was a graduate of Xavier University Preparatory School and received her undergraduate degree from Loyola University. She continued her studies earning a Master’s Degree in Business from the University of New Orleans.
Devoted daughter of Melvia Smith and the late Alton L. Smith, Sr. Sister of Alton L. (Marion) Smith, Jr., and Gregory A. (Tyiesha) Smith, Sr. Aunt of Krystal Smith, Deja Smith, Alton L. (Erica) Smith, III, Marcquan (Mallory) Munday, and Gregory A. Smith, Jr. Great aunt Darrin Brewer, Korin Smith, Alton L. Smith, IV, Tyrin Smith, Keyani Munday, Maci Munday, and Marc Munday, also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.
