Amarita Bartylla, 83, St. Joseph
ST. JOSEPH Sister Amarita Bartylla, 83, died Friday at St. Benedict's Convent. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Benedict's Convent Chapel. Burial will be in the convent cemetery. Friends may call after 7:30 p.m. Sunday and from 8 a.m. until services Monday at the convent. Amarita Bartylla was born May 14, 1905, in Browerville to Frank and Elizabeth (Goligowski) Bartylla. She entered the convent on June 16, 1926, made her first vows on July 11, 1927, and made her final vows on July 11, 1930. She taught fifth and sixth grade at St. John Cantius, St. Cloud, for 14 years. For 45 years, she did clerical and secretarial work at St. Cloud Hospital and at St. Benedict's Convent. Survivors include her brother and sisters, Joseph and Mrs. Susan Knase, Browerville; and Alvina Bartylla, Minneapolis. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and two sisters.
