PUTNAM -- Loretta E. Starzyk, 80, of Woodstock Ave., died Tuesday, March 7, in Day Kimball Hospital after a long illness.

Her husband, Anthony Starzyk, died in 1993. She leaves a daughter, Cheryl Bourque of Putnam; two brothers, Robert DuBois of Morgantown, W.V. and Richard DuBois of Georgia; two sisters, Fabiola Cutler of East Putnam and Jean Charron of Quinebaug; several nephews and nieces. She was born in Putnam, daughter of Isadore and Mina (Basinet) DuBois.

Mrs. Starzyk worked for many years at Belding Hemingway Co. She was a member of St. Mary of the Visitation Church. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and reading.

The funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 11, in Smith & Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Mary Church of the Visitation, 218 Providence St. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Calling hours are from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, March 10, in the funeral home.
