James Henry Glisson, age 81, went to be with our Lord on Friday, August 2, 2013. A memorial service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church in Washington, NC at 1 pm on Tuesday, August 6th with the Pastor Benjamin J Kifer officiating. Jim was born in Pitt County on Aug 19th, 1931 to the late Richard Fernando and Sally Mills Glisson. He faithfully served his country in the US Army during the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. He was an avid fisherman, a hunter, expert marksman, and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Walter of Florida. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, and 3 sons.
