FRANKLIN TOWNSEND DEAD

Franklin Townsend, a son of the late Billy Townsend, died at the Baker's Mountain Orphanage home yesterday afternoon of influenza. The young fellow had never been strong and the congregation of the Methodist church here had been looking after him for several years, an operation being performed two years ago. Later he was placed with Mr. M.H. Johnson at Bakers Mountain. The funeral will be held this afternoon at Oakwood Cemetery, Rev. R.M. Courtney conducting it.
