Elizabeth Ann (Libby) Cregger Perdue
September 16, 1931 - July 26, 2017

Elizabeth Ann (Libby) Perdue, 85, died peacefully on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Elizabeth was married to the love of her life, Kermit Perdue, for 59 years. Kermit died in 2009. She was the mother of two sons, Bill and Allen. Allen died when he was 15 years old. Elizabeth Ann and Kermit’s love for each other and their faith became stronger through this tragedy. Elizabeth Ann loved her church, North Roanoke Baptist, and enjoyed singing in the choir and traveling with her friends from church. She was a quiet lady who was felt things deeply, knew how to laugh and knew how to overcome life’s many disappointments. She was accepting of everyone; cared deeply for her family and especially her three grandchildren and her six great-grandchildren. She loved sewing, knitting, shopping, baking cookies and fudge. She never forgot a birthday, anniversary or holiday and loved to send Hallmark cards with a personal note on these occasions. She also loved eating at Pete’s Deli where everyone knew her name.

She is survived by her son Bill and his wife, Jan along with their children; Timothy Perdue and Andrea Walters; Jessica Trainum and her husband Zeke and four children – Rose, Gabe, Shaymus and Merryn; and Casey Jones and his wife Mary Grace and their two children – William and Brooks. She is also survived by her loving sister Mary Alice Nash and her two children, Mary Beth Nash and Keith Nash and their families. She is survived also by her nephew Tommy Duff and his family.

Elizabeth Ann was preceded in death by her parents Howard and Elizabeth Cregger and her sister Patsy Duff.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Oakey’s North Chapel on with Rev. Dr. Darryl G. Crim and Rev. Daniel Palmer officiating. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, July 28, 2017 at the funeral home.
