Lorraine M. Hale, 81, passed away July 24, 2017 in the comfort of her home in Kensington, NH after a period of declining health. Lorraine was born June 24, 1936 to Methaide (Levasseur) and Joseph "Pea" Plourde in Madawaska, Maine. Lorraine will be forever missed by her loving family and friends who cherished her.


Lorraine was an amazing wife, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She was loved by so many for her strength and desire for life. A longtime resident of Kensington, NH, she spent her life raising her seven children, working for the Kensington Police Department, the Exeter School District, and as the grounds keeper for the Town of Kensington, until she "retired" in 2014. Lorraine loved spending time with her family, her dog Daisy and simply having a cup of tea.


Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her eight siblings Juliette, Jeannette, Lucien, Ernest, Romeo, Norman, Roger and Joseph; her husband Winthrop "Bunky" Hale and their son Glenn.


She is survived by her daughter [Redacted] Batchelder and her husband [Redacted] of Newport, ME; sons [Redacted] Hale and his wife [Redacted] of Corinna, ME; [Redacted] Hale and his wife [Redacted] of Hilton Head, SC; [Redacted] and his wife [Redacted] of Exeter, NH; [Redacted] Hale and his wife [Redacted] of Epping, NH; and [Redacted] Hale and his wife [Redacted] of Hampton. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren - [Redacted] Ritson and [Redacted] Kane; [Redacted] Hale, [Redacted] Young and [Redacted] Hale; [Redacted] Hale; [Redacted] and [Redacted] Hale, [Redacted] and [Redacted] Hale; and [Redacted] and [Redacted] Hale; 13 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.



Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, July 30, 2017 from 1:00-3:00 PM at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter, NH.


Graveside services will follow on Sunday, July 30, 2017 at 3:30 PM at Village Cemetery, Kensington, NH.
