Jack F. Marran Weds Theodora Morris
Theodora Winslow Morris, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Van Cortlandt Morris (Carlotta Marie Noel) of New York, was married in New York yesterday to Jack Francis Marran, a son of Mr. and Mrs. William R. Marran of Vero Beach, Fla. The Rev. Louis Padovano and the Rev. Patrick Frawley performed the Roman Catholic ceremony at St. Thomas More Church.
Miss Morris, who is 29 years old and will retain her name, is a third-year doctoral student in psychology at Yeshiva University. She graduated from Kenyon College and received a master's degree in psychology from New York University. Her father is a pianist and composer.
Miss Morris is the granddaughter of the late A. Newbold Morris, who was a president of the New York City Council and a Parks Commissioner, and of the late Margaret Thaw Morris of Prescott, Ariz. She is also the granddaughter of Mrs. Auguste L. Noel of New York and the late Mr. Noel, who was the architect for the old Whitney Museum at 54th Street, near Fifth Avenue.
Mr. Marran, also 29, attended Kenyon College. He is the vice president of W. R. Marran's Sons Inc., an oil distributor in Patchogue, L.I. His father is president of the company.
