Graveside services for Orville Lester Davis, 75, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mr. Davis passed away at 11:18 a.m., Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at this home.

He was born December 9, 1941, at Jordan, Montana to Wilbur Morris Davis and Mary Lou Curtis Davis.

On June 30, 1995, he was married to Yvonne Davis. He grew up at Haxby, MT and attended grade school at Cat Creek School and short stint at Jordan for high school. Les grew up on horses with five brothers, and worked at a young age for the neighbors and Uncle Steve and Aunt Margie. He was good at anything he set his mind to– be it horseback or mechanic. He and brother Lorn loved hot rod cars and racing against each other. Later he worked construction, and learned to be a lineman; working for various electric companies for many years, had his own trenching business as well as a mechanic shop and in retirement enjoyed rebuilding buggies that he took great pride in.

He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Davis; seven children, Marcy, Ginger, Darrell, Tammy, Jennifer, Cynthia and Douglas; numerous grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; two step-daughters, Mary Jo Armknecht and husband, Elmer and Helen Remmers; six step-grandchildren; fourteen step-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Bruce Davis and wife, Linda and Michael Davis and wife, Patsy.

His parents and three brothers, Lorn, Robert and Pat, precede him in death.

Mr. Davis will lie in state from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Friday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home

I have his stone photo w/your entry at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery.

The cemetery office informed me that he had been moved & Allison thought it was to Nebraska.
