CAMDEN - Laurie V. Adams passed away on June 23, 2017, surrounded by friends and family.
She was born Laurie Susan Vance on July 31, 1938.
She was a Maine artist for most of her life, starting in Deer Isle in 1964 at Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, then moving to Camden in 1977.
She was a potter for decades, and then began painting, sculpting and book-binding in later years.
She was very active in the Maine artists' community.
For many years, she was a common fixture in Camden harbor, rowing her boat around Curtis Island.
She is survived by her two grandchildren, her two children, her brother and her sister.
