Tucson Star Evans, 74, departed his life on Monday, July 25, 2017 at his home in Jay, OK with his family around. He was born on August 3, 1942 in Shamrock, OK to his parents, Joe Carl Evans and Adeline Addie Willis Evans.

Tucson enjoyed fishing, video games, singing and playing his guitar with his family and friends. He loved spending time with his family, and his grandbabies. His grandbabies were his pride and joy, and enjoyed spending quality grandpa time with them.

Tucson is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Addie Evans; sons, Donnie and Charles Evans; daughter, Susie Barbata; brother, Jr. Evans.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Queen Evans of the home; 5 daughters, Jackie Reed of Maysville, OK, Elizabeth Pierot of Jay, OK, Carla Evans of Jay, OK, Doris Evans of Jay, OK, and Vicki Farine of Siloam Springs, AR; 12 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren; special friends, Larry and Joann Sanders and their family of Disney, OK; his beloved fur baby, Gizmo; 4 brothers, Ray Evans, Roy Evans, Wayne Evans all of Colcord, OK, and William Evans of Gentry, AR; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Tucson’s family visitation to greet friends will be held on Thursday from 6:00-8:00pm, July 27, 2017 at Lawson’s Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 311 W. Gray St., Jay, OK, 74346. Tucson’s Celebration Of Life Funeral Service will be held on Friday, 10:00am, July 28, 2017 at Mount Hermon Church, 18035 E. 420 Rd., Jay, OK. Followed by funeral procession to Tucson’s Burial Service at Dickson Cemetery, Cherokee City, AR.
