In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, H.E. “ED” Stanley and infant sister Yvette.
Eve is survived by her daughter Dixie Hoskins (Burchell) of Cincinnati, OH and her son Ed L. Stanley (Jeanne) of Burgin, KY. Four grandchildren whom she loved dearly; Bridgette (Ed) Myers, Michelle (Jeff) Smith, Eddie Stanley and Julie (Jeremy)Schwey. Six Great Grandchildren; Anna and Courtney Myers, Ethan Smith, Brendan and Jocelyn Stanley, and Elam Schwey. She also leaves behind a host of other relatives and dear friends.
She was a Corporal in the Women’s Army Corp (WACS) during WWII. She formed and was President of the Middlesboro Jr Homemaker’s Club in the early 60’s, a member of the Middlesboro Homemakers Club and worked for 15 years as the Children’s Department Manager for Montgomery Ward. Later in life, her husband and she owned their own business, E&E Antiques in Knoxville, TN.
She loved all kinds of crafts, especially Folk Art Painting, baking for her family and friends. She was always baking candies or cakes for those who were sick or just because. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church in Middlesboro, KK where she had many dear friends. An avid animal lover, Eve supported and was a member of the Friends of the Shelter. However, her most favorite job and hobby was spending time with her entire family.
