Tim enjoyed golf, tennis, guns, and cars. He loved being with friends and eating Mexican food. He was a passionate LSU fan. Tim was a devoted son, a loyal brother, a supportive uncle, and a great friend. He lived his life on his own terms. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, but we find comfort in knowing he's in heaven with his older brother, Phil, and all of the other family members who went before him. He was preceded in death by his older brother, Edward Phillips "Phil" George, and is survived by his parents Tom and Rosemarie George of Shreveport; sister, Leslie Mace of Clover, SC; sister, Rosanne and husband George Bacon of Benton, LA; brother, Daniel and wife Kelly of Bossier City, Patrick and wife Christi of Shreveport; nieces, Lexie Barnes and Kyra Bacon and nephews, Jarred Lewis, Alex Hawbaker, Andrew Mace, Connor Bacon, and Nathan George. In addition, he leaves behind his two cat buddies, Tiger and Frannie, who he loved dearly.
Pallbearers will be Connor Bacon, Alex Hawbaker, Matt Willis, Tommy Trulock, Kemp McArty, Trey Pate, Daniel George, Patrick George, and George Bacon.
Visitation will be held Sunday, at Rose-Neath South from 6-8pm with graveside services on Monday at 10:00am at Spring Ridge Cemetery in Spring Ridge, LA. The family will receive guests at the home of George and Rosanne Bacon, 200 Old Palmetto Road, Benton, LA after the service.
The family of Tim George has proudly enlisted Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency to handle the donation of Tim's organs. We are grateful for their kindness and professionalism, and are honored to know that many lives will be saved by Tim's donation. In death there is life. In losing there is giving. In lieu of flowers, you may make a monetary donation to this non-profit organization in Tim's name or if you would prefer, to Port City Cat Rescue, as Tim was a cat lover.
