Jack Gordon Gray, born in Butte, Montana on May 13th, 1955 to John and Shirley Gray, passed away on July 20th, 2017 after a short bout with brain cancer.

Growing up on Quartz street, Jack watched Evel Knievel from the roof his garage with his siblings, and developed a passion for motorcycles. However, becoming a daredevil was probably not the best choice, considering what accident prone child he was.

During his life, Jack worked a variety of different carpentry, building, and labor jobs throughout Montana, Idaho, and even Arizona, until he finally retired in 2005.

In June of 2003, Jack visited the Philippines to meet his long-time pen pal, Regina Lumba. There he fell in love with more than just the beautiful beaches, and on May 10th, 2004, Jack and Regina were married. Jack spent most of his retirement with Regina, working in their garage on woodworking projects and restoring classic cars.

The man didn't know how to sit still. He was always making something, like a jigsaw carved kokapelli, or fixing something, like his 1948 Chevy Fleet line Aerosedan.

However, beyond all of that, Jack will be most remembered by his loved ones for his generosity of spirit. He never failed to help out a neighbor in need, or to give something of his own to make someone else happy. If all he had left was two sticks to make a fire, he would have given one of them away to someone else who needed it.

Jack is preceded in death by his parents John and Shirley Gray, his friend since childhood Charlie Smith, and his favorite dog and best friend Tankie.

Jack is survived by his wife Regina Gray, his son Jay Gray of Eugene, Oregon, his daughters Amanda Postma of North Muskegon, Michigan and Jessica Gray of Billings, Montana, his grandchildren Evan and Jenna, and his siblings, Jill Hoehn of Seeley Lake, Montana, Janine Reeves of St. Maries, Idaho, Joey Gray of Santa, Idaho, and Jeff Gray of Billings, Montana.

At his request, there will be no services.
