William Joseph "Bill" Willems, MD Began his journey home, Monday, July 24, 2017. Age 73.

Loving father of Heidi (Jeff Smits) Willems Smits, Wendy (Mickey) Womack, and Michael (Nicole) Willems. Special grandpa of Alexia Smits, Lydia Smits, Wolfgang Womack, Ty Smits, Gigi Womack and Portia Willems. Dear brother of Sr. Mary Alice Willems and Mary (Jerry) Murphy.

Preceded in death by his parents Aloys and Anne Willems. Also loved by other relatives and friends.

Visitation at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin on Friday, August 4, 3:00 PM – 4:15 PM. Funeral Service at 4:30 PM. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.

Bill embraced the Jesuit Principles learned through his schooling at Marquette High School and University both as a Neurologist and Researcher. He strove for excellence, shared his gifts, pursued justice and had concern for the poor and marginalized.

A special thank you to everyone who cared for Dad at his time of need.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Bill’s memory to the Milwaukee Rescue Mission appreciated.
