Thomas “Clyde” Triplett Sr., age 87, of Hudson went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at Gateway Nursing Home. He was born July 24, 1930, son of the late Dow and Velma Townsend Triplett.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Marie Hefner and Virgie Brown; brothers Donald Triplett, Charles Triplett, Bobby Triplett, Larry Dean Triplett.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Lillie Stamey Triplett of the home; one daughter, Jewel Triplett Spears of Hudson; one son, Thomas C. Triplett Jr of Hudson; two granddaughters, Melissa Austin and Amanda Triplett Keller; two great-grandchildren, Noah and Abigail Austin; two sisters, Wilma Coffey of Lenoir and Shirley Moretz of Lenoir.
The family will receive friends Thursday, July 27, 2017, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at Mackie Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Friday, July 28, 2017, at Mackie Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 AM. Rev. Edd Warren and Rev. Scott Philyaw will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Lenoir, NC.
