Funeral Services for Henry W. Lewis, Jr. age 91, of Carriere, MS, who passed away Monday, July 24, 2017, will be held Thursday, July 27, 2017, at 3:00 pm at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 27, 2017 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at McDonald Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Lee's Chapel #1 Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

A native of Pearl River County, MS, he was a Farm Manager/Mechanic and a member of Lee's Chapel #1 Missionary Baptist Church. Junior served in United States Navy on the USS Rednour, in the Pacific. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend, who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. Junior and Lola were well known for their love and care of the people in their lives and communities.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Kenion Lewis and Margania Spiers Lewis; his sisters and brothers, Virgie Varnado, Virgil Lewis, Lucille Gural, Theodore Lewis, and Lillian Rester.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 68 years, Lola Johnson Lewis; his children, Beverly (Wayne) Malone, Steve (Peggy) Lewis, Brenda Lewis, Tim (Carla) Lewis, Richard (Joey) Lewis, and Barry (Pat) Lewis; 6 grandchildren, Elizabeth Anne Brown, Lee Brown, Collin (Sarah) Brown, Lindsay (Ross) Poore', Gabrielle (Matthew) McQueen, and Danielle Lewis; and 6 great grandchildren, Greyson, Ella Grace, Gaige, Jaxson, Olivia, and Lola Elizabeth.
