-Jesse Fender, a brother of the late James and Hiram Fender, and one of the very old settlers of Sugar Grove, died last Saturday and was buried at the Sugar Grove church this afternoon. Jesse is the last of the once famous family of Fenders, who were very popular all over the country several years ago, especially "Hi," who was quite a sport, and who attended all the horse races for many miles around. He lived at Buffalo Grove and was quite wealthy at the time of his death. Jesse Fender also leaves considerable property. He was not sound mentally, and his conservator, James Sneed, with whom he resided, will have charge of his estate.
