Phillip Glenn 'Phil' Strickland, 54, passed away as a result of injuries received in a farming accident. The funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 4 pm in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Pinewood Memorial Park.
Phil, a native of Pitt County, lived and farmed all his life in the Bell Arthur community. He was a member of the Bell Arthur United Methodist Church. He was a longtime member of the Bell Arthur Volunteer Fire Department, having served as captain and assistant chief. He loved spending time riding his motorcycle.
