Stanley George Carter, 79, of Bullhead City, Arizona, passed away on March 12, 2017.

He was born in Petersburg Illinois on December 11, 1937, to Ralph and Myrtle (Atterberry) Carter.

He married his wife, Betty Boston, on July 30, 1955 in Petersburg where they lived until 1957.

He and his wife then moved to Greenview Illinois where they lived until 2004 before moving to Bullhead City, Arizona.

Stanley was a 50 year member of the Greenview Masonic Lodge #653. He was also a lifetime member of AMVETS Post #179.

Stanley is survived by his wife, Betty, and three sons; Tony (companion Annabelle Wood) Carter, Timothy E. (Ronda) Carter, and Dale (Traci) Carter. He is also survived by three granddaughters; Jessica (Ryan) Atkinson, McKinzie Carter, and Brittany Jacobs.

Stanley was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.

Visitation will be held at Hurley Funeral Home in Greenview, Illinois, on Wednesday, March 22, 2017, from 10 am to 11:30 am. Masonic rites will be accorded by Masonic Lodge #653 with a funeral service following.

Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Greenview following the service. Funeral services will be officiated by Pastor Stephanie McCullough.
