George O. Flink, 82, of rural Omaha died at his home Monday, Feb. 13, 2006.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Feb. 16, at Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church. Burial was in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.
George Oscar Flink was born Nov. 30, 19023, in Omaha to Carl and Elna (Carlson) Flink. He did carpentry work with his father and later worked in Omaha doing carpentry for construction companies.
He was a World War II veteran serving in the Navy from January 1943 until being discharged in December 1945.

He married Marjorie Rathjen on June 15, 1944, in Red Oak, Iowa. They lived in Benson until 1960, and then moved to the farm, where they resided at the time of his death.

Mr. Flink is survived by his wife, Marjorie; brother, Carl Henry Flink of Coos Bay, Ore.; brother-in-law, Ralph Rathjen of Fort Calhoun, and three sisters-in-law, Helen Rathjen and Faith Rathjen, both of Omaha and Vernice Rathjen of Loup City.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Marian.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
