SOUTH BURLINGTON, VT. - Barbara Anne (Raley) McMahan, of South Burlington, passed away on July 23rd 2017 at Spring Village in Essex, Vt.
Anne was born on July 5th 1943 in Salem, Ohio, she was the daughter of John H. Raley and Hallie Y. Copper of Signal, Ohio.
She graduated from Beaver Local High School in 1961 and James Madison University in 1965.
She was the beloved wife of Robert C. McMahan of Williston, Vt.
Anne taught school in Middletown, R.I., Lansing, MI., Adult Basic Education in Chittenden County, VT., and South Burlington High School, retiring in 1999.
She was an active member of the Faith United Methodist Church.
She was an avid reader, enjoying her book group for nearly fifty years and was past Treasurer of The Burlington Garden Club.
Interment will be held privately at the Shelburne Community Cemetery.
